What you need to make these honey sriracha cashews
You don’t need many ingredients for this recipe, and chances are you already have most of them on hand!
- cashews (raw and unsalted)
- Sriracha
- honey
- salt
- optional: brown sugar
Substitutions & Additions
Substitutions
- Make it vegan: if you don’t want to use honey, you can use maple syrup instead!
- Different hot sauce: if you don’t have Sriracha, you can try using another type of hot sauce. Don’t use something to liquidy though.
Additions
- Brown sugar: I like to sprinkle on a little brown sugar about halfway through cooking. But it’s totally optional, so if you don’t have brown sugar, it’s no big deal.
Honey Sriracha Cashews FAQs
They have a little bit of heat to them, but I find it’s well balanced with the sweetness from the honey.
Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the fridge for up to 2 weeks to keep them crunchy.
Yup! You can use maple syrup or agave instead of honey.
They may need a bit more baking time or cooling. Let them cool fully before storing – the glaze will firm up as it cools.
Ideally unsalted, but if you only have salted, that’s fine! Just don’t add additional salt if you’re using salted cashews.
